As we approach the end of the year, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact on families in Hamtramck. Your financial support is crucial for sustaining our programs that provide essential services.
At Detroit Friendship House, we serve as a crucial resource for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Our food pantry provides a variety of nutritious, culuraly relavant options to ensure that our community members have access to the food they need.
But we know it takes more than just food to build stability, that is where you can help. You can secure vital programs like our Women’s Empowerment Group, Cooking Matters, Pathways to Growth and more!
By donating today, you play an integral role in helping us create a brighter future for our community. Help us reach our ambitious goal of $45,000.00 Each dollar brings us closer to building a sustainable future where families can thrive and believe in a stronger tomorrow.
Thank you for your commitment to making a difference. Together, we can ensure that every family in Hamtramck has the resources they need to succeed.
At Detroit Friendship House, we believe in a holistic approach to food security. It’s not just about providing food—it’s about enhancing quality of life, promoting long-term wellness, and equipping families with tools for healthier futures.
Every month, we serve hundreds of families with dignity, respect, and compassion. By providing access to both essential food and nutritional guidance, we’re building a stronger, healthier community one meal at a time.
Learn more about our SWAP food-ranking system
Our SWAP system prioritizes nutrition by using a simple, color-coded ranking to highlight healthier options. This approach helps our clients make informed choices that support their well-being. Foods are rated based on sodium, sugar, and saturated fat content, empowering individuals and families to choose items that align with a balanced diet.
